Bristol Amateur Operatic Society (BAOS) was founded in 1894 by Bruce Bedells and a few friends from the choir of the Holy Nativity Church, Knowle. 

BAOS has a long successful history full of a variety of musicals and revue shows. We aim to continue to put on exciting shows for the people of Bristol, and with a growing Youth section the future is bright!

BAOS Seniors

Our senior section performs two shows a year, with a summer show and a main production in the spring. You are eligible to audition for seniors if you are aged 18 or over on the first of January the same year as the show. 

BAOS Youth
Our Youth section also performs up to twice a year, with a show at The Redgrave Theatre and a revue show to showcase the many talents of BAOS Youth. To be eligible to be a member of BAOS Youth you need to be aged between 10 and 18.
